The Superstars of the WCW Action Figure Line was produced by Galoob from 1990 to 1991. These figures were created with a solid plastic pose that didn’t have any movable features. The first series was released in the United States in 1990. The second series featured most of the original figures from Series #1, but had different color ring attire which were all released exclusively in the United Kingdom. Ten of the original twelve figures were re-released in different ring attires for Series #2, with the addition seven additional figures or figure molds. The very first editions of Series #1 did have a package variant of saying “Presents the Superstars of the NWA” in the lower right hand corner opposed to “Presents the Superstars of WCW”. All of the figures released in the line came packaged with a WCW Championship belt. All of the championship belts are the same except for the belt packaged with Dustin Rhodes having a longer belt (Nine Notches) compared to the normal size (Six Notches). Only two figures (Big Josh & Luger PreRing) came with an accessory. All figures were released carded individually, but some were packaged in Tag Team Sets.
